It was that time again, and Professor Priestly was ready for it. Another year to deal with these children. Another year without Markus, another year to teach the children a lesson. Another year for Professor Priestly to get to the seventh years. As she walked, she did not smile. For it was very rare to see her smile, since her attitude was so closed off. Her head held high as she left her room and headed towards the Great Hall. Soon everyone would be piling in. As she appeared in the room, all the other Professors' were already there, and seated themselves. Priestly walked knowingly up to them, ready to take her seat. Once she had made her way up to the table, people complimented her and told her how strong she looked. Priestly took the compliments, and just nodded. "That's all..." Then seated herself in the center of them, and they all were silent. It seemed to be taking forever, but soon enough people piled in. Priscilla stood casually, and awaited for everyone to appear. One of her helpers', a professor, stood with her. Priscilla walked around the table, and stepped up to the big podium.
"Silence, please, silence!" She shouted, and everyone instantly listened to her. It was funny how afraid of her they were. As they all were quiet, she had a small smug smile. One almost invisible to the eye. "Thank you everyone." Her glasses were still on, and she looked out towards everyone. "Welcome, to another year at Hogwarts. School of witchcraft and wizardy. We hope to continue on with the glorious names from the past, to improve in every aspect. We hope to be better then what we were last year. Here at Hogwarts, you're safe from harm. While at home, you had your mummy and daddy to keep you safe. Well they aren't here, but we do however have many charms placed around the school. To keep the school safe, and to keep you safe. I'll start this ceremony, with welcoming the first years. Wonderful to see you, and I would for everyone to give a round of applause. For the sorting ceremony, has begun!" Priestly nodded, with another small smile and stepped back.
Off to the side you could clearly see the previous Professor. With a stool, and very old looking hat. The stool was shoved onto the ground, and a scroll was removed from the Professor's robes. The ceremony then began. Priestly returned to her seat, and let the Professor do her work. Watching each kid, closely.

There's a fire starting in my heart, Reaching a fever pitch, it's bringing me out the dark. See how I'll leave with every piece of you, Don't underestimate the things that I will do. Respect was a word Remus used in varying forms from person to person. He never would hurt anyone, but he didn't care for feasts much. They were boring, and far too formal for his taste, so this year, he'd gotten somethings he would use to liven the place up. He did love a good time after all, really though, who didn't? He would have a good time at this feast, even if the others around him had to suffer. He didn't mean in a bad way, just a good laugh at their misfortune. No more, no less. He knew it was harmless fun, and heck, others might get a good laugh out of it. That was the important thing, right? He thought so, and as it stood, his opinion was the only one that mattered.
He'd dressed on the train back to school, and he had slipped the candies his mother had gotten him in his pocket. He'd mentioned wanting to liven up the feast, and his mother seemed full of great ideas. Said something about how his father had loved things like this, and that made him want to do it all the more, anything to be closer to his departed father. Though, really that in itself was something extremely special. He had no father, and his father had lost his as well. It was something small to grasp from something so sad and much larger then himself, death, but he was able to grasp it, and it made him feel like he had something to share with his father besides a love for weird creatures and his mother. It was a nice thing.
So, here he was, watching others around him eat. He'd gotten into the feast as fast as he could, and he'd tossed a few things his mother had given him into the potatoes. He'd smushed them up with a quick spell, and hoped no one would notice a slight taste difference. He returned his wand to his pocket, and tried to act naturally. He snorted as kids started eating after the head witch spoke, which he hardly listened to, but he clapped when others did.
As she spoke, some kids took bites of their food, and he didn't, he really wasn't hungry. He watched little ones move towards the front, and he choked on his own spit as one of his housemates suddenly turned into a canary. Then, a few more, and they started to flutter around the table. Those candies had been perfect, canary creams were quiet a hoot! He tried his best to look shocked, but he really spent more of his time laughing, covering his mouth as best he could. He never was able to keep a secret for anything.

How could she help but be bored. These ceremonies always wasted her time. After she had now eaten her food, and wanted no more. She had nothing to do. Ginny sat poking at her plate, trying not to make a lot of noise. Considering Headmistress Priestly would likely murder her. Ginny waited impatiently, and repeated the same thing in her head multiple times. 'I'd rather be pranking, I'd rather be pranking...' Her eyes averted from the sorting, and she carefull placed her head on her hand. Elbow resting on the table, and her eyes went to the Ravenclaw table. Canary creams, that made her snicker a little bit. As she recieved a dirty look from the headmistress, she averted her attention to the floor.
When would this God awful ceremony end? She sipped her drink casually, as little ones were sorted. Clapping every so often at the sound of someone sorted into Gryffindor. Oh goodness, how was it that she was so bored. Ginny turned to view the person beside her, and whispered a few things to them. "Are you as bored as I am? I'm going mental just sitting here! Merlin's beard..." Her head slouched, as the person just laughed lightly at her. Ginny raised her head, and remembered something. Her hand jammed into her pocket, and she removed some Hair-Hues. Popping a purple one in her mouth, a few of her friends laughed as her hair changed into a purple hue. These things' were her best creation yet. Priestly seemed to be ignoring her, but that was obvious.

-----------------------------------TELL ME, DID THE WIND SWEEP YOU OFF YOUR FEET did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day
AND HEAD BACK TOWARD THE MILKY WAY ----------------------------------
THonestly, ask anyone and you would get the reply that Christina Worthington, or Kit as she was more widely known, was quiet and biddable, obedient and loyal and generally quite inconspicious and easily looked over. And that's what Kit usually strived to be really. She didn't want to be in the center of attraction, and in fact felt really uncomfortable if other's were focused on her. She hated causing mayhem and mischief, and much preferred peace and quiet. She crossed fingers every semester that nothing overly untoward would happen, but seriously, Kit attended a wizarding school, how thick could hope be.
Still, she hoped, but again, with a wizarding school and a prankster for a best friend, that wish wasn't going anywhere. Though at this feast, Kit couldn't really blame Ginny. Remind the sixth year Gryffindor again, why were the seniors made to stay back to witness the sorting? Sure, the ones more interested in beating each house in numbers would probably stay, but why can't the rest of the seniors be allowed the option to return to their dormitories? Kit could think of ten different, better ways to spend her first evening back in her school then sitting there watching first years getting sorted. Nostalgic, really, but otehr then that quite pointless for the ones just sitting and watching.
Looking over when a rustle over at the Ravenclaw house caught her attention, Kit raised a brow. Canary creams, of course Remus would think of sneaking them in to the school on the first day. Not that Kit faulted him this time of course, the little ones were cute sure, but getting deathly boring. Perking up when she heard Ginny speak next to her, Kit hid a chuckle and then shrugged, and then brown eyes blinked when her friend pulled out a couple of sweets she could swear she recognized, and was not meant for the dinner table, being pulled out. Raising a brow, the girl shook her head again ruefully when ginny's hair changed to a bright purple hue. "Really Ginny, you must have tried every color under the sun now. What was your original hair color again?" Kit couldn't resist teasing with a grin, whispering. Not that Priestly would be any happy with the talking, but really, Kit was bored stiff by then.
